Racing FAQs

Are there 2 seater karts?

No. Our racing karts are designed for one driver per kart. We offer race experiences for a variety of ages and skill levels, so everyone can enjoy the track!

Can I ride in the same race with my child?

Adults welcome to race with children on Junior & Intermediate races. Karts will operate at the designated either Junior or Intermediate speeds & will not be sped up for adults participating.

Can I bring my own helment?

Yes. Guests are welcome to bring their own full-face helmet, provided it is DOT approved with eye protection. All personal helmets are subject to inspection and approval before racing.

Can I bring an action camera on to my race?

Yes. Action cameras are permitted only when securely mounted to your person or your own personal helmet. Cameras may not be mounted to Andretti-provided helmets. No kart-attached cameras.

What should I wear?

Closed-toe shoes are required, but racing shoes are available upon request for guests wearing open-toed footwear. Long hair must be tied back, and loose articles must be secured or removed before racing.

What is the difference between race requirements and recommendations?

To auto qualify for a certain race type you must meet both the requirements and recommendations. However, recommendations may be waived based on manager approval. See next question to learn more.

How do I move up a race class?

Drivers who demonstrate safe, confident driving may be eligible to advance at the discretion of our Track Team. To qualify, drivers should operate their karts safely, follow all instructions from Track Marshals, and exhibit consistent control while approaching the kart's performance limits. For the best opportunity to be evaluated for advancement, we recommend visiting during non-peak times. Weekends, holidays, and other high-volume periods limit our Track Team's ability to provide individualized feedback and assessments.
